Shaun Lawrence has been charged by the Financial Conduct Authority for operating as a mortgage broker without authorisation.
The FCA said that Lawrence, who also goes by Shaun Lawrence-Bright and Shaun Bright, was previously authorised to give mortgage advice.
However, in 2008, his permissions were revoked, he received a fine, and he was banned from working in financial services.
The FCA has now alleged that Lawrence continued to provide mortgage broking services despite his ban, thereby breaching the Financial Services and Markets Act.
Lawrence is expected to appear before Hull Magistrates’ Court on July 2 2026.
