Business and political leaders from across Hertfordshire have showcased the opportunities for investment and development in the county.
UKREiiF – the UK’s Real Estate, Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) – acts as a platform for the public sector to exhibit the scale of development progress, as well as future investment opportunities.
It boasts attendance by more than 250 local authorities as well as representatives from government, investors, funders, developers, housebuilders and more.
And among the representatives at this year’s three-day event, in Leeds, was a delegation from Hertfordshire.
Highlighting the event at a meeting of the county council on Tuesday, May 21, council leader Cllr Richard Roberts said they would sell the “economic miracle” of Hertfordshire to potential investors.

He said that as well as the county council, nine of the county’s districts and boroughs were represented at the event in Leeds.
With space, science and film-making among the existing and growing industries in Hertfordshire, data shows the county already generates £41bn for the UK economy.
Invest Hertfordshire – which is managed by the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership – is a new inward investment service.
It aims to attract businesses and unlock investment for inclusive, high-quality, sustainable development to accelerate opportunities across the county
It offers a free and confidential package of services to individual companies – promising access to expert knowledge and local intelligence.
Following the launch of Invest Hertfordshire, chair of the Hertfordshire Economic Board Adrian Hawkins said: “Attracting more businesses to invest in Hertfordshire is key to shaping the economy of the future and positioning our county for success.
“By leveraging the talents of our people, the excellence and deep knowledge base of our academic and research institutions and the entrepreneurial spirit of our businesses, we can continue to build world-leading capabilities and embrace future-facing technologies in a more digitally connected and sustainable world.
