Agreement with INFONAVIT enables commission-free housing loan payments nationwide, available 24/7 at convenience stores.
Oxxo and INFONAVIT have launched a nationwide service in Mexico allowing customers to pay housing loans at convenience stores without fees, expanding access to financial services. The initiative enables borrowers to make transactions at any time, leveraging the brand’s extensive retail network and round-the-clock availability.
Users can make payments of up to 10,000 pesos ($555) per transaction, offering an alternative to traditional banking channels and reducing dependency on limited operating hours. The service is available across Oxxo’s locations nationwide, providing greater flexibility for customers to manage mortgage obligations according to their schedules.
The partnership combines INFONAVIT’s housing finance infrastructure with Oxxo’s physical footprint, strengthening payment accessibility in urban and underserved areas. By integrating retail and financial services, the initiative supports a broader shift toward more decentralized payment ecosystems in Mexico.
“In partnership with INFONAVIT, we are working to provide solutions that meet people’s real needs. We know that timelines and circumstances do not always fit traditional models, so offering payment options available at different times and in different parts of the country represents a significant improvement in the customer experience,” said Mónica de Martino, Commercial Payments Manager at Oxxo México.
The rollout reflects increasing use of convenience store networks as financial service touchpoints, improving accessibility and efficiency in everyday transactions such as loan repayments.
