Partnership with local agency Cerro Novo to boost coverage
Hamptons has expanded its presence in the Algarve, Portugal, through a new partnership with local agency Cerro Novo, allowing it to extend across the central region of the Algarve, covering key locations from Faro through to Portimão. Previously, Hamptons only covered the Western Algarve.
Estate agency Cerro Novo will operate under the co-branding ‘in association with Hamptons’ and will have its properties featured on the Hamptons website, as well as portals such as Rightmove Overseas and Zoopla, offering international exposure to listings. The company will also be supported by Hamptons’ wider suite of marketing and advisory services.
Cerro Novo was established in 1981 and is the longest-running officially licensed estate agency in the coastal city of Albufeira. It comprises a team of 14 staff.
Leal Ignatius, director of international at Hamptons, said: “We are delighted to expand our presence in Portugal through our partnership with Cerro Novo. This represents an important strategic step for Hamptons, allowing us to offer even greater coverage across the Algarve and deliver enhanced value to our clients.
Attracting strong interest from British buyers
“The Algarve continues to attract strong interest from British buyers, including investors, second-home purchasers, and retirees. Its combination of high-quality property, excellent connectivity, a thriving hospitality sector, and consistently strong rental performance makes it one of Europe’s most compelling destinations for overseas investment.”
Robert Edwards, director and partner at Cerro Novo, said: “Having supported UK buyers for many years, this partnership enhances our ability to connect them with our clients’ properties while also supporting Portuguese buyers seeking opportunities in the UK.
“Through Hamptons’ global network, we are able to significantly broaden our reach, presenting our portfolio alongside an international selection of prime properties and ensuring greater visibility for our clients.”
