A historic pub in Lewisham is looking for new operators as it prepares for a “significant investment”.
The Honor Oak, in St German’s Road, is searching for a new manager to run the pub ahead of “big plans” for the venue’s future, according to a listing on Find My Pub.
It comes as the landlords prepare to relaunch the pub under the Fireside brand, including carrying out a “significant investment”.
The Find My Pub listing said: “The landlords are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial management partner to take the reins of a fantastic hospitality venue in the heart of Honor Oak.
“This is your chance to take full operational control of a well-positioned pub in a vibrant, community-led area.
“The landlords have big plans for this pub, and you will be able to demonstrate excitement and passion to deliver the project.
“This is a location where the right operator can truly embed themselves in the community and build a standout reputation.”
The deposit is listed as £3,000, while the estimated earnings are not yet confirmed.
The Honor Oak has been pulling pints for more than 150 years, since it opened in 1865 as St Germain’s Tavern.
The News Shopper has contacted Punch Pubs, which oversees the Fireside brand, for further information.
