Newbury Building Society has promoted Kerri Rolfe to the position of business development manager (BDM).
Rolfe, who joined the society in 2017 from Firstxtra Financial Services, has been a senior intermediary sales adviser since 2021.
Matt Long, intermediary sales manager, praised Rolfe’s ‘breadth and depth of knowledge of the industry and our products and criteria”, adding: “She will make a fantastic BDM.”
Long said: “Her customer service is second-to-none, and I have no doubt she will continue to support our brokers and partners to get the best for their clients, whether they’re looking for a shared ownership product or a mortgage in retirement.”
Rolfe (pictured) added: “I’m really looking forward to getting started in my new role as a business development manager. Building strong, long‑term relationships has always been important to me, and I’m excited to both maintain existing partnerships and create new ones. I’m passionate about supporting brokers with a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine willingness to help, and I’m looking forward to working closely with them to support their ongoing success.”

Newbury successes
Newbury was named “Best Building Society” and “Best Building Society Savings Provider” at the British Bank Awards last year. It recently introduced major changes to its lending criteria, including reducing the minimum income for holiday let lending to £30,000 and increasing the maximum number of storeys for shared ownership from six to eight.
In September last year, it promoted Alice Pocock and Long to management roles in its intermediary sales team.
