Knight Frank has launched an Investment desk to win business from portfolio landlords, small residential developers and property entrepreneurs.
The service – launched this week – will provide a dedicated support hub for domestic and private international investor clients.
It is described as taking “a detailed and holistic view of clients’ existing investments”.
It will provide data-informed advice about how to optimise investments in the short and long term.
A statement says: “The Investment Desk will build and manage client relationships, conduct structured portfolio review meetings, and identify then coordinate buying, selling and lettings opportunities across Knight Frank’s service lines.”
The desk will collaborate with the firm’s network of sales, lettings, short lets and international teams.
It will also organise targeted investor events to educate clients and showcase new opportunities.
The desk will be led by Keir Waddell, who returns to Knight Frank from OB Private, where he was Head of Development & Investment.
Tim Hyatt, Head of Residential at Knight Frank, says: “Despite ongoing economic fluctuations, investor landlords and small developers remain active, motivated by long-term strategy, yield and capital growth potential rather than short-term market sentiment.
“With increased regulatory complexity, shifting taxation and new opportunities emerging across all market segments, clients are seeking more structured guidance and clearer access to opportunities.“
Waddell himself says: “The creation of this service line reflects the increasing importance and sophistication of residential investment and reflects the breadth of opportunity across the UK.
“I’m looking forward to re-connecting with colleagues across the firm in establishing a market-leading advisory platform that supports our clients across the full residential investment cycle.”
