The new development, Francis Fields, is located at The Mount in Frome and is being built by David Wilson Redrow South West.
The new housing scheme is designed to address affordability concerns and ease the cost of moving, with the mortgage support offer available on selected plots.

Louise Ware, sales director for David Wilson Redrow South West, said: “Buying a new home is one of the biggest financial commitments people make, and we know that monthly costs can be a concern for many buyers.
“This initiative at Francis Fields is designed to provide meaningful support by effectively covering mortgage payments for the first year on selected homes, helping customers settle in with greater peace of mind and financial flexibility.
“It’s about making homeownership more accessible and giving buyers confidence as they take that first or next step.”
Under the scheme, buyers of the three-bedroom Greenwood property, priced at £385,000, would receive a mortgage contribution of £19,250.
With a 90 per cent mortgage, this would cover estimated repayments of £1,601 each month for a full year.
Those purchasing the two-bedroom Wilford, priced at £290,000, would receive £14,500 towards mortgage costs, covering estimated monthly payments of £1,206 for 12 months.
Francis Fields is a 118-home development offering two, three, and four-bedroom properties on the southern edge of Frome.
It is located within two kilometres of the town centre and offers convenient access to amenities and cycling routes, including the National Cycle Network Route 24.
The site includes a direct cycle path to the nearest secondary school, and residents will receive travel vouchers to encourage sustainable transport.
David Wilson Redrow South West has committed to delivering 30 per cent affordable housing at Francis Fields and will contribute more than £1.6 million towards improving education, highways, and sustainable travel in the area.
Environmental features have also been incorporated into the development.
These include preserved hedgerows, bat boxes, swift bricks, hedgehog highways, and green spaces managed to enhance biodiversity.
Frome has been described as a community-minded town with a vibrant arts scene, independent shops, eateries, health and wellbeing businesses, and cultural venues including an indie cinema, two theatres, and a music venue.
The financial support on offer aims to make homeownership more attainable for a wider range of buyers, particularly those facing affordability challenges.
