UK Power Networks has reported that 299 homes are without power in Saxmundham and the surrounding areas, which includes the postcode IP17 1.
The power cut is due to a high-voltage electricity line fault, which has caused a power cut in the area.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “Our engineers are on their way. We believe the issue is an overhead network fault that initially interrupted power to 361 properties.
“However, we have managed to divert power back to some properties, so 299 properties are still affected.
“Specialist engineers from our control room will continue to divert power remotely, so your power may come back on at any point. Sometimes we can’t restore everyone this way, so we’re also sending staff to check our equipment.”
The power is estimated to be restored between 9am and 10am.
