MCR Property Group has completed the acquisition of Windsor House off Cornwall Road as part of its growing portfolio of regional investments across the UK.
Windsor House, overlooking Valley Gardens, was built in 1903 and was initially the Grand Hotel.
Now, a well-established business hub, the property spans more than 117,000 sq ft across seven floors, with over 130 serviced office suites, 298 car parking spaces, and a range of on-site amenities.

MCR says it will continue to operate the building as a high-quality business centre, while undertaking a phased refurbishment programme to upgrade communal areas and refresh interiors.
The aim is to enhance the tenant experience, improve sustainability, and reinforce Windsor House’s reputation as one of Harrogate’s leading flexible workspaces.
Charles Denby, Fund Manager at MCR Property Group, said: “We’re delighted to add Windsor House to our growing portfolio.
“Harrogate is one of the UK’s most desirable towns, prosperous, well connected, and full of character.
“We see enormous potential here and are committed to investing in the building’s future, enhancing the flexible workspace available to local businesses and ensuring Windsor House remains a key part of the town’s commercial landscape.”
William Mullery, Acquisitions Manager at MCR Property Group, added: “This acquisition reflects our continued appetite to purchase attractive regional assets underpinned by solid market fundamentals and long-term growth potential.
“We’re extremely active in the market, with an extensive pipeline of similar acquisitions in motion across the UK. Windsor House perfectly fits our strategy of identifying high-quality buildings that offer substantial potential for value enhancement through investment and proactive asset management.”
The purchase follows the recent announcement of MCR Property Group’s £250 million senior secured credit facility from Pollen Street Capital.
With more acquisitions already in advanced stages, MCR says it’s activity underscores its position as one of the UK’s most dynamic private property groups, combining a long-term investment outlook with a proven track record of delivering value through repositioning and development.
