Homes in Tavistock were without electricity this afternoon (Thursday, May 9) after a power cut. The National Grid said the loss of power was caused by an issue on their low-voltage network.
Engineers were called to the scene on West Street. National Grid said 65 properties were affected in the area and all power was restored by 8.30pm.
National Grid spokesperson said: “Engineers are working to restore power supplies to 65 properties around West Street in Tavistock. The loss of power was caused by a fault on our low-voltage network.

“We apologise to customers for the inconvenience this outage has caused. Engineers are working to restore supplies as quickly as possible and hope to have power back on by 19.30 this evening.”
