Plans have been revealed for new self-build homes in a Norfolk village.
Lesley Lewis has applied for outline permission to develop land at Terrington St Clement, near King’s Lynn.
A planning statement says the site off Hay Green Road could accommodate up to four properties.
It adds while the site is classed as countryside, there are existing houses across the road to the north, along with two plots with outline planning permission for new homes.
A new access road would be built to serve the properties, which would each have a double garage.
The planning statement says West Norfolk Council has not met its target of providing 47 self-build plots a year set by central government.
It adds a historic shortfall of 141 has now built up and the latest application would help to reduce it.
Self-building is where a house buyer purchases a plot and employs their own architect, builder and tradespeople to construct it.
The option can save up to 30pc of the cost of buying from a developer, because it does not include their profit margin.
