Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire was named alongside several other towns in Scotland, including Greenock in Inverclyde and East Kilbride near Glasgow.
While Scottish spots dominated the list, there were a few locations in England that made the cut, including Blackpool and Burnley.
The average asking price for a typical first-time buyer home in Kilmarnock was found to be just over £84,000.

Further down the ranking was Paisley, where houses cost little under £100,000 and other Scottish spots like Ayr.
In another list highlighting the average asking price of a home in nations and regions across Britain, Scotland was found to be one of the cheapest with homes costing around £140,000 on average.
For comparison, London, which was the most expensive location, had an average asking price of around half a million.
