Scottish houses are selling almost twice as quickly as everywhere else in Britain.
A monthly price index published on Monday by the online estate agency Rightmove has found it is taking an average of 31 days for a home in Scotland to find a buyer.
The next best mark was 54 days for the northeast of England while sellers in Wales, at 71 days, had the longest wait.
Across other English regions the time taken was between 58 and 65 days. Across the whole index the average was 59 days, the best mark since September last year.
The data also showed the average asking price for Scotland in July was up by 1.7 per cent year-on-year to £195,344.
