Real Estate by Sinna Nasseri
Real Estate add to their ‘Daniel’ LP touring.
Real Estate have confirmed the details of an autumn tour of the UK and Europe.
Tickets will go on sale from March 15th for the tour which is set to start in Paris on September 24th.
The UK leg is to come in October, opening at the grand surroundings of Hackney Church in London, before further shows in Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow.
The tour news follows the release of Real Estate’s new album last month, further evidence of the band’s ‘sad happy machine’ according to our review:
“There are some clear antecedents here, most obviously The Byrds/Beatles, period R.E.M and, if you’re looking to go deeper, the mid-eighties’ Antipodean scene from which the likes of The Chills and The Go Betweens emerged.”
These ley lines are present some times more than others; both Flowers and Freeze Brain for example could’ve been culled from various back catalogues at any point in the last forty years, whilst the opalescent Say No More invokes what is for Courtney & co a familiarly backward looking aesthetic.
