Morrisons property boss David Scott has departed from the company to pursue “new opportunities” following eight years in the position.
The move follows the supermarket stating that it was reviewing the resourcing of its property team at its Bradford head office.
The property boss paid tribute to CEO Rami Baitiéh, noting that he was certain he would lead the retailer “from strength to strength,” The Grocer reported.
Posting on LinkedIn, Scott said: “During my time at Morrisons, I’ve worked on many transformational projects, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together as a team.
“I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a dynamic, customer-focused business.”
A spokesman for Morrisons added: “We can confirm David Scott has left the business, he made a valuable contribution to Morrisons over the last eight years and we wish him all the best.
“We’re currently reviewing options for the future resourcing of our property team.”
In June, Morrisons named Asda’s online trading director Emma Pacey as its new trading director for general merchandise.
Pacey served at the rival supermarket for almost 20 years in various roles including senior director ecommerce transformation and senior director retail operations.
