Forbes Global Properties has launched in the UK, with the business focusing on prime and super-prime residential property across London and key regional markets.
The UK operation will be led by Martin Bikhit, who has worked in the estate agency sector for more than 30 years, most recently with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. The company will act as the exclusive UK representative of the Forbes Global Properties network.
The business will work alongside Bikhit’s existing agency, Kay & Co, established in 1982 and specialising in prime London sales and lettings.
The new operation will focus on London homes priced above £10m and properties valued at more than £5m across the rest of the country. Target markets include prime central London, the Home Counties and selected regional locations with established high-value housing markets.
The company said it will operate a brokerage model and plans to recruit a select number of founding agents during its launch phase.
The business will handle a range of high-value residential property, including London townhouses and apartments, country houses, estates and larger residential assets.
Agents joining the platform will continue to operate within their local markets while using the Forbes Global Properties brand and international network. The company said it will provide operational support including marketing, compliance, accounting and company administration services.
Bikhit commented: “We see this as an opportune time to combine the credibility and global status of the Forbes brand with the UK team’s market expertise, to enable our clients to succeed within a highly specialised strata of the market.”
“The United Kingdom is one of the most important destinations for the world’s most discerning buyers,” said Michael Jalbert, CEO of Forbes Global Properties. “We are delighted to welcome UK Forbes Global Properties. Their experience and relationship-first approach on behalf of our clientele makes them a natural fit.”
