The issue was first reported at 2pm on Tuesday and is affecting people in Pakefield and Kessingland.
UK Power Network has confirmed there are engineers on scene.
A spokesman for the company said: “We are sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.
“We didn’t know in advance there would be a power cut, but now that we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly.”
It has been estimated that power will be back on by 5.30pm today.
