A recent study of thousands of properties on the market highlighted Hull as one of the places you will find the most bedrooms for your money.
Analysis by online mortgage brokers Mojo Mortgages revealed the type of property you can expect to buy with the national average property price (at that time £261,142) in the top 45 most populous towns and cities in the UK. And Hull came out third, offering an average of 3.5 bedrooms for that sum.
The research further revealed that the national average house price – and sometimes a figure even below that – will buy you at least a three-bedroom, one-bathroom detached home in the city. Hull was only beaten by Middlesbrough and Sunderland in the table; meanwhile, the same house budget in the south would typically only buy you a one-bed flat.
