Known for its work with The Bus Station in Whitehaven and Westlakes Science & Technology Park, BEC was included in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for 2024.
The firm, based at Westlakes Science Park, Moor Row, also has an ambitious project in Whitehaven town centre to transform the former Whittles building into a digital and gaming hub.
The Sunday Times’ nationwide workplace survey recognises and commends the UK’s top employers.
BEC was praised for several staff-friendly policies, including a four-day working week, medical and private healthcare, a menopause champion and 10 days of paid volunteering time for a charity of choice.
An employee also mentioned that BEC’s training and development opportunities are “amazing”.
