Nominations have officially opened for The Intermediary’s inaugural awards event, The National Mortgage Awards: Second Charge.
Via the short form here, people can nominate either themselves or others – across multiple categories – who they feel is deserving of recognition for their work in the second charge sector, whether that is a broker, lender, or third-party.
The awards categories span individuals and companies, recognising up-and-comers and established names, innovation and promotion, underwriting and packaging, and more.
Special industry awards will recognise sector champions and promoters, while overall categories will celebrate the best broker and best lender in the second charge market.
After initial nominations have been made, The Intermediary will undertake a research period in lieu of long-form submissions, after which a select panel of judges will be enlisted to make the final decisions.
The judging panels will be made up of experts from across the industry, with lenders deciding the broker winners, and vice versa, but certain categories will be open for public vote.
Full category descriptions can be found here.
Once nominations have been made, badges encouraging clients and colleagues to nominate can be found on the site to be added to emails.
The National Mortgage Awards event will take place on the evening of 14th November at RIBA, Portland Place, and will include drinks, dinner, live music and late night entertainment.
Ryan Fowler, publishing director at The Intermediary, said: “We are glad to announce the official opening of nominations for this exciting event.
“We have worked hard to make the process as painless as possible, as well as employing our own expertise and that of the judges, to ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to consideration for one of these categories.
“We are looking forward to a great event that will celebrate a sometimes under-served market when it comes to awards and recognition – but one that is nevertheless key to the UK property finance ecosystem.”
