Indeglas has secured equity investment from UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE).
The money should let the internal glass solutions provider scale up delivery on major projects, invest in new talent and apprenticeships, and strengthen its presence in markets across the UK.
Based at its headquarters in Cumbernauld and currently employing 10 staff, Indeglas has recently won its largest contract to date – the internal glazing package within New Zealand House in Pall Mall, London. This retrofit project, for client Multiplex, is being carried out for Crown Estates and includes bespoke internal glazed screen solutions with a value of more than £2m.
Founded by Jeanette MacIntyre, Indeglas has earned a reputation for delivering glazed systems to high-specification construction and refurbishment projects across the UK for over the last 25 years.
The company’s recent work has included contracts worth more than £1m for the Advanced Research Centre and Adam Smith Business School for University of Glasgow and Edinburgh Futures Institute at University of Edinburgh.
Managing director MacIntyre said: “Support from UKSE comes at a pivotal moment for Indeglas, as we enter an exciting new phase of growth.
“We’re engaged in projects that are not only technically complex, but also socially meaningful, particularly within the university sector, where our work is helping to shape the environments that attract and nurture the next generation of talent.
“The funding from UKSE strengthens our financial foundation and gives us the confidence to scale with purpose, while continuing to invest in our people and capabilities.”
Marc Davey, regional executive at UKSE, said: “Indeglas is a standout example of a Scottish business with specialist expertise and a clear growth trajectory.
“Their track record of delivery on high-profile projects, and their emphasis on workforce development and innovation, make them exactly the kind of company we are proud to support.”
