Beameo, the Wales-based e-bike brand that launched at the London Cycle Show last year, is set to embark on an ambitious expansion plan and is now seeking investors to join its parent company.
The parent company, MSTT LTD, is a UK registered company with its own manufacturing facility currently based in Thailand.
Part of the future development plan is to move this manufacturing to the UK with possible sites already being explored in Wales.
Beameo is MSTT’s in-house brand and will also benefit from its future development plans as it continues its growth in the commuter and leisure market with retailers being sought this year and export being an important objective from late 2024 onwards.
Since launching its range of six e-bikes in 2023, the company has experienced strong interest in the Beameo brand and the addition of retail partners and global export markets.
Neal Tantisukrit, founder and director, commented: “We have been really encouraged with how consumers have so warmly received the Beameo brand as well the considerable level of interest we have received from abroad.
“Since launch we have enjoyed steady growth and having access to our factory and supply chain has certainly helped. We can confidently plan and predict our future path safe in the knowledge that we have control over our own production and supply”
“We currently stock Beameo in a warehouse based in Suffolk so they are ready to ship within hours and arrive with UK customers within two days. Going forward we hope to offer this same level of supply and service to retailers seeking a good value, high quality e-bike with UK back up and immediate stock availability.”
MSTT Ltd will continue to manufacture e-bikes for third party brands globally, initially in its Thai facility, alongside the expansion of Beameo while the current UK team – which includes a Wales-based warranty and operational team – will expand as the company grows.
Tantisukrit added: “The big news is of course that we are now seeking investment to move the parent company, and Beameo, forward to where we envisaged when we started the company”
“This will include UK e-bike, motor and battery manufacture for both Beameo and third-party brands from around the world”
“Our manufacturing experience in Thailand coupled to our strong UK team allows us to set this up quickly, professionally and in an eco-friendly manner to become a strong player in the UK and global bike industry whilst helping to bring more jobs to local people.”
