The ACCESS Pool is on the lookout for a UK Impact Real Estate Investment Manager. This new role focuses on a decarbonisation mandate aimed at transforming the environmental footprint of UK real estate assets.
The pool, which oversees assets totalling approximately £45bn on behalf of participating pension funds, has started to venture into real estate last year, having appointed CBRE for two property mandates covering UK and global real estate. Last month, it also confirmed a £250m long-lease property mandate with Aviva.
The new mandate is expected to start at around £100m, with the possibility of subsequent allocations and further growth. The appointed investment manager will be responsible for implementing a strategy designed to accelerate the decarbonisation of existing real estate assets across the UK, the pool said.
Qualified UK Impact Real Estate investment managers are invited to submit proposals for this mandate. Detailed information and related documents are available upon request to interested parties.
Proposals and requests for information should be directed to access.uk.impact.realestate.rfp@apexgroup-fs.com. The deadline for submissions is set for 14:00 GMT on 31st July 2024.
