Businesses from across Wales were recognised at the Property Investor Awards Wales this week, an event sponsored by the NRLA.
The black-tie event at Cardiff’s Radisson Blu hotel brought together investors, landlords, and industry professionals for an evening recognising outstanding achievements in property investment throughout Wales.
NRLA chief executive Ben Beadle gave the opening address, reflecting on the vital role the Welsh private rented sector (PRS) continues to play in providing homes and supporting the Welsh economy.
Nine awards were given out out on the night, with the full list of winners including:
- Best Newcomer: Ross Cable
- Best HMO conversion: Chris King
- Commercial to Residential: Chris King
- Next Generation: Brodyr Brothers
- Excellence in Building & Construction: Mainty Group
- Best Refurbishment: Si Kilex
- Best Joint Venture: White Property
- Investor’s Choice: Shaun Hixcox
- Best Small Self-Administered Scheme (SASS): Anthony Davies.
The evening raised much needed funds for Llamau, a Welsh homelessness charity supporting young people, women and children into safe accommodation.
Steve Bletsoe, the NRLA’s head of regional business said: “It was fantastic to see a room full of property professionals who work hard to provide good quality houses for a responsible Welsh rental sector.
“The stories of good landlords providing good properties to tenants aligns with the values we promote at the NRLA and it was also wonderful to see vital funds raised for Llamau on the night.”
