Property investor Praxis have relocated their northern operations to a new Manchester office, having taken the entire top floor of Ship Canal House on King Street in the city centre.
The move doubles the size of the firms Manchester office footprint and will house around 50 staff.
Ship Canal House is a prestigious Grade II listed office building originally constructed in 1924 for The Manchester Ship Canal Company.
Following a significant investment by Grosvenor the building has achieved a BREEAM Excellent standard and the letting to Praxis has resulted in 100% occupancy.
Praxis chief operating officer James Hewitt said: “The company traces its origins to Manchester and the North, and we have operated from offices in the city centre for decades. This investment in our northern HQ underlines our commitment to building out a best-in-class UK focused real estate platform and providing our growing team with the very best environment in which to work. Having invested close to a billion pounds in regional offices in the last two years, all of which are on a journey to net zero, we felt it was essential to move our own operations to a building that reflected our aspirations.”
The Praxis Group, led by entrepreneur Mark Harrison, are a leading investor and manager of UK real estate working in partnership with a range of private, institutional, and public clients with offices in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Canning O’Neill represented Praxis and Grosvenor were represented by CBRE.
