Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett has offloaded her Prahran investment property just over a fortnight after listing it.
The Lord of the Rings and Thor: Ragnarok star is understood to have scored a more than $3m result for the home that was initially listed with $2.25m-$2.45m hopes.
Blanchett and her writer and director husband Andrew Upton paid $745,000 for the 5 Trinian St house in 2006, CoreLogic records show.

The double-storey abode was scheduled for a March 9 auction but ended up selling well ahead of the date.
Renovated by Alwill Architecture, the three-bedroom property features an outdoor deck, two bathrooms and an upstairs “study nook and funky loft”, according to the listing.
Outdoors, a gate provides access to the nearby Victoria Gardens while the main bedroom has doors which open to the front veranda.
Kay & Burton’s Rae Mano had the listing.
An agency spokesperson said: “The property garnered an overwhelming level of interest, surpassing both our and our vendors’ expectations.
“The strong demand swiftly culminated in a successful sale that has left all parties involved delighted.”
Blanchett has won two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes and multiple other accolades during her career.
She starred movies including The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Ocean’s 8, Blue Jasmine, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Talented Mr Ripley and The Aviator.
Last year, Cate Blanchett took home the BAFTAS’ Best Actress award for her portrayal of a classical music conductor in the film Tar.
WHITEFOX Real Estate Stonnington’s Jesse Jones said listing volumes had been increasing in the suburb recently, giving buyers more choice.
Mr Jones said many house hunters wanted renovated homes that were ready to move into.
“Whereas unrenovated properties are becoming more challenging,” Mr Jones said.
