Carlisle natives Michael McCaul and Sophie Thompson are set to launch The Property Investment Academy (PIA) – North West after being approached by PIA’s founder Steven Green.
The couple, who also own their own property development and investment business in Carlisle – Santo Mil Properties, started their property journey with support of PIA and are now hoping to bring its ‘life-changing’ benefits to budding entrepreneurs in the North West.
PIA North West will be officially launched by Michael and Sophie in November, with the academy’s first live event to be held at Carlisle Racecourse.
The pair then plan to hold monthly one-day events across the North West in Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackburn, and Blackpool.
“We’ve both been on our own property journey for years now, we started at 19 and 21,” They said.
“Starting out we had to figure it all out ourselves. In 2023, we discovered The Property Investment Academy and it completely changed the game for us.
“The education we gained gave us the knowledge, confidence and strategies to build financial freedom through property.

“We also found a community of good, honest people who genuinely wanted to help each other succeed and that’s what we want to build too.
“We have both been able to leave our jobs because of the property business we have built using the education from the PIA.
“We’ve experienced first-hand how life changing the right education, network and ongoing support can be.
” Then out of nowhere, Steven Green, the founder of the PIA, offered us the opportunity to bring this training to the North West, so we knew we had to take it.
“We’ve invested heavily to secure the franchise because we believe so strongly in what the community stands for – integrity, community, and creating life-changing results for ambitious everyday people.”
Michael and Sophie officially confirmed the launch of the new academy on social media and in a matter of days have reached ‘over 34,000’ people and had ‘so many messages’ from people who are interested in getting involved.

They said: “For us, this is about giving people in our region access to the same opportunities that completely transformed our lives.
“We don’t claim to be property gurus, we are an honest, hard-working, young couple who are building something special and we want to help others along the way.
“The response has been incredible and honestly, it’s blown us away.
“We made just one post about our launch on social media and it reached over 34,000 people in a matter of days.
“We’ve had so many messages from people asking when the first event will be, how they can get involved, and people wanting to sign up already because they see what we’re doing and they want to better themselves.
“It’s clear that there’s a real hunger for this kind of opportunity.
“People are looking for ways to take control of their finances and build some passive income, especially with the challenges we’re seeing in today’s economy.
“This early interest has confirmed exactly why we wanted to bring the PIA over here.
“It’s shown us that there’s a huge community of people who are ready to learn, they just need the right guidance and support.”
