Newcastle for Intermediaries has launched a mortgage platform for its broker partners as part of an ongoing investment into technology.
Built by the society’s technology subsidiary Newcastle Strategic Solutions and developed in collaboration with brokers across the UK, the platform was launched to enhance the mortgage application journey, making it easier for brokers to do business.
Among its features, brokers can expect a significantly streamlined process from decision in principle (DIP) to full mortgage application, effortless document upload and easy case progress tracking.
The platform was also designed to offer brokers the freedom to work in a way that suits them, with the option to navigate between application sections as they discuss an application with their client.
Brokers can also edit existing applications without the need to clone or duplicate work, and the option to add clients’ solicitor details during application, with direct integration to the lender’s conveyancing panel manager.
The platform also offers the ability to capture additional support requirements.
Michael Conville, chief customer officer at Newcastle Building Society, said: “Built in the spirit of true collaboration and partnership with our trusted broker community, our new mortgage platform completely transforms the current application journey.
“Following the recent launch of our new website, this is another landmark step in demonstrating our commitment to developing technology-based solutions that truly benefit our intermediary partners.
“Simplifying the way brokers do business with us will always be a key priority, allowing us to help free up their valuable time so they can do more of what matters most — supporting clients.”
