Up to 25 new homes could be built on a plant nursery after it closes.
West Norfolk council has received outline plans to develop the site at Walpole St Peter, between King’s Lynn and Wisbech.
A planning statement says the proposals for Applegate Nurseries, on Chalk Road, would form “a logical extension” to the village.
A mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced dwellings have been proposed, which would use the existing access road.

Plans to provide supported accommodation for adults with social care needs have been approved by Norwich City Council.
The scheme will see a property in Borrowdale Drive, near Mousehold Heath, converted into a shared home designed to help people live as independently as possible.
The house will operate as a single household, offering long-term accommodation for people with varying levels of need.
Those in the house will each have private bedrooms while sharing communal areas, including a kitchen and living space.

Plans to create an activity centre at the former RAF Coltishall site have been given the go-ahead by Broadland District Council.
The approved development will transform part of the historic airbase into a facility aimed at outdoor recreation and leisure.
The project is expected to contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the former RAF base, which has seen a mix of commercial, public sector and leisure uses introduced in recent years.
Supporters of the scheme say it will boost local tourism and provide new opportunities for businesses in the area.
However, as with similar developments, questions around traffic impact and environmental considerations were raised during the planning process.

A major housing development in Taverham has also been approved, with plans for 188 homes at Marriott’s Park receiving backing from councillors.
The scheme forms part of the continued expansion of the Marriott’s Park area, which has already seen significant residential growth in recent years.
The development will include a mix of property types, aimed at meeting local housing demand.
Developers argue the project will help address housing shortages in the area, while critics have previously raised concerns about pressure on local infrastructure, including schools, healthcare services and transport links.

A 50mph limit will be in place on part of the A11 from the Ellingham Road junction to the London Road Roundabout in Attleborough.
It will come in to place from July 6 and will be in operation for four months.
The restrictions are in order for resurfacing works to be carried out.
Several of the laybys will be closed as well during the duration of the works.
