Arch Capital Group Ltd. expanded Maamoun Rajeh’s role as president on June 3, 2026, adding oversight of Arch’s Insurance segment to his existing Reinsurance and Mortgage responsibilities as the company moves to a single president model.
“Maamoun has been integral to Arch’s success since 2001 and brings a deep understanding of the Property and Casualty business,” said CEO Nicolas Papadopoulo.
Rajeh, who joined Arch in 2001, built Arch Re into a leading global reinsurance provider and assumed responsibility for the Mortgage segment in 2024. He will continue to report to Papadopoulo. “I’m energized and focused on enhancing our Insurance segment’s leadership position in the markets where we operate,” Rajeh said.
The expansion follows the departure of David Gansberg, who steps down as president of Arch after a distinguished tenure during which he played an important role building the organization to its current position. Papadopoulo acknowledged Gansberg’s “significant contributions” to Arch’s success. &
