The council said the announcement will take place during UKREiiF in Leeds on Tuesday, May 19 stating that the full details will be revealed at 12.45pm at the North East Pavilion (Stand 14).
Northumberland County Council says it will present the next phase of its ‘ambitious’ growth and investment plans as part of the North East of England delegation.
According to the council, the showcase will highlight a “new commercial offer to the market, underpinned by its newly launched economic strategy.”
Councillor Richard Wearmouth, cabinet member for regeneration at Northumberland County Council, said: “We are building on significant investment successes, and UKREiiF provides the perfect platform to showcase the scale of our ambition.
“Our new Economic Strategy sets a clear direction for the future, and the strength of our investment sites demonstrates that.
“We are ready to partner with investors and developers to deliver high-quality, sustainable opportunities.
“We’re excited to share more about what’s next for Northumberland.”
The council will highlight several key development sites, including Ashwood Business Park, and West Hartford Business Park.
The latter recently received planning permission and is set to deliver more than 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space.
Port of Blyth Opportunity Sites will also feature in the announcement, including Battleship Wharf and the Investment Zone at Bates Clean Energy Terminal.
The council said both sites offer “major quay-linked opportunity to capitalise on Northumberland’s strengths in offshore energy, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.”
A spokesperson for the council said: “Together, these sites form part of a compelling investment proposition aligned with regional and national priorities, including clean energy transition, innovation, electrification and digital, and AI.”
Northumberland County Council and Business Northumberland are set share further details of its announcement ahead of the event.
The council said: “Stakeholders, investors, and partners are invited to attend and be among the first to hear Northumberland’s plans as it continues to drive forward its vision for a prosperous, sustainable future.”
