Shawbrook Bank and Aldermore Bank have renewed their multi-million pound funding lines with bridging lender SDKA, extending long-standing relationships that began in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
The renewed facilities will continue to support SDKA’s lending activity, providing the flexibility to fund cases outside standard criteria and underpinning ongoing product development.
The lender has recently expanded its offering, including the launch of Bridge To Term and Automated Valuation Model (AVM) propositions in late 2025, and is exploring further diversification in 2026.
Kunal Mehta (pictured), managing director of SDKA, said: “The relationships with our funding partners all boils down to one major factor, trust.
“We can make decisions on applications, rate changes and product launches without having to seek approval because our proven lending record speaks for itself.
“Shawbrook and Aldermore, along with others, know we pride ourselves on speed, precision and innovation in the bridging finance sector.
“The renewal of our agreement with two of the leading specialist banks in the UK paves the way for the next exciting chapter in our story.”
Hasna Qureshi, associate director at Shawbrook Bank, added: “SDKA’s ability to scale its lending while continuing to evolve its product offering highlights the strength of the business.
“As their first institutional lender, Shawbrook has supported that growth by increasing funding in line with their ambitions.
“This latest renewal reflects the strength of the relationship and confidence in the team’s continued trajectory.”
Steve Thorne, business development manager for Wholesale Finance at Aldermore Bank, said: “SDKA has built a strong track record in the bridging market, underpinned by disciplined underwriting and a clear focus on supporting brokers and their clients.
“Renewing our funding line reflects our confidence in Kunal and the team and our shared commitment to providing flexible, well-structured finance solutions that meet the evolving needs of UK property investors.”
