YBS Commercial Mortgages has been named ‘Best Service from a Commercial Mortgage Provider’ at the Business Moneyfacts Awards 2026.
The lender was also highly commended in the category ‘Best Commercial Mortgage Provider’ at the annual awards, which recognise excellence across the UK business and commercial finance sectors.
Winners are determined through a combination of product monitoring and feedback from brokers and the wider business community.
Angela Norman, managing director of YBS Commercial Mortgages, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to win this award, as well as receiving recognition in the category ‘Best Commercial Mortgage Provider’.
“We have spent the past year focussing on strengthening the business to support sustainable growth areas where we could have the biggest impact, blending digital innovation with the human touch and creating a customer experience which is faster, smoother and more supportive.
“This includes cutting response times to initial case requests from 48 hours to just 24; introducing a 24-hour decision-in-principle (DIP) and committing to new SLAs such as offer letters within 30 days of application.”
She added: “Recent positive changes to our product range include offerings designed to improve our efficiency and speed at every stage of the process, and have been developed in direct response to broker feedback.
“We’ve also invested heavily in digital capabilities. Enhancements to the broker portal have streamlined applications, improved flexibility and reduced friction for brokers and customers with scope to add new features and capabilities in the future.
“I’m so grateful both to the brokers who supported us and to every single member of our fantastic team for the part they have played in our achievements and success to date, as we look forward to a bright future.”
YBS Commercial Mortgages also sponsored the ‘Commercial Mortgage Introducer of the Year’ category, which was awarded to Watts Commercial Finance.
Norman added: “Congratulations to Watts Commercial Finance for winning this award – well-deserved recognition of all their hard work and dedication.
“We’re so proud to sponsor this again, given our long-standing relationships with our brokers and introducers, who are so are fundamental to our business.”
Lee Tillcock, editor of Business Moneyfacts, said: “The past year has seen the business finance sector rise to numerous challenges placed upon it by economic uncertainty.
“While interest rate and working capital funding line concerns relaxed initially, by working tirelessly to boost business opportunities, it was brokers and providers that offered the expertise and knowledge that helped many businesses thrive and survive.
“The finalists and eventual winners at this year’s awards should be rightly proud of their achievements.”
