Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has acquired HomeOwners Alliance to strengthen its presence in the home buying journey earlier.
MAB will take a 100% stake in HomeOwners Alliance from its founders and Smoove.
HomeOwners Alliance is a consumer platform that offers guidance, tools and services to homeowners and aspiring buyers. The acquisition will support MAB’s strategy to expand its presence across the home moving process by engaging with consumers earlier in the journey and beyond the advice process.
HomeOwners Alliance will also align with MAB’s preferred suppliers in the home moving process.
MAB said the deal would also prepare the firm for any changes ahead of reforms introduced by the government’s home buying and selling consultation.
By integrating and enhancing HomeOwners Alliance’s digital platform, MAB expects to expand its reach to consumers earlier in the home buying process, increase lead volumes and services available, and enhance the relationship between mortgage advice and home moving services.
