The UK’s leading social enterprise, Places for People (PfP), has announced that the homes will be built on their Marlborough Park development.
The news comes after planning permission was granted in January for the scheme.
The site is the second phase of a 644-home development that will be made up of homes ranging from one-bedroom apartments to three-bedroom houses.
Each home will be traditional in design, offering flexible interior space, a private enclosed garden, and the high-quality finish that Places for People has become known for.
Incorporating a range of energy-efficient features that make them cheaper to run, each home has allocated parking with access to an electric car charging point.
Marlborough Park will also have several areas of green and open space for customers to access, with a pond feature central to the scheme.
Improved footpath connections will also be built to ensure easy access to the wider area.

Darren Dancey, regional managing director for the South West at Places for People, said: “We are delighted in the response to our recent proposal to bring more much-needed new homes to Swindon.
“We are committed to helping the Government deliver on their 1.5 million new homes ambition and want to deliver thriving communities across the UK.
“Drawing on our expertise as place-makers and history in delivering sustainable communities, we were committed to bringing forward a proposal that works for the people of Swindon.
“Also, we are thrilled to provide more affordable homes through our strategic partnership with Homes England.
“We know that a shortage of affordable housing remains an acute issue across the South West and are looking forward to start delivering these new homes.”
