The quarterly Nationwide house price index for all houses in the United Kingdom (UK) increased between the first quarter of 2013 and the fourth quarter of 2022. The index base was set to 100 in 1952 and in the fourth quarter of 2022, the index reached 14,026 index points. This was a significant increase from the previous year when the index stood at 13,387 index point but also the first quarterly decrease since 2019.
