Cash-strapped UK universities need to reassess spending priorities, says online learning director
Universities in the UK need to “rebalance” their investment strategies by spending more on their online learning offer—or risk missing out on one of their biggest opportunities for growth, according to the academic director of the University of Nottingham Online.
Writing in a collection of essays published by the Higher Education Policy Institute on 28 March, Nick Mount said the investment that most UK higher education institutions have made into their online learning environments “is a fraction of what has been invested in their physical campuses”.
